Talia Sanhewe is an award winning reporter, presenter and producer for CNBC Africa. As the Cape Town reporter for CNBC Africa Talia has interviewed heads of state, celebrities, entrepreneurs and government officials. She has reported live from the World Economic Forum on Africa, and participated in reporting for CNBC Europe in London.

Talia Sanhewe also presented & hosted Eye on the Western Cape, the channels top rated weekend program that focused on business and entrepreneurship in the region. In 2009, Talia won the Vodacom Journalist of the Year for the Western Cape Region in the Television New Category for her award winning piece on The Broccoli Project, a social entrepreneurship story focusing on HIV/AIDS.

Talia holds a BA Film & Media degree from the University of Cape Town. Her television education also includes a scholarship to the University of California Los Angeles for an academic exchange where she took classes at the prestigious School of Film & Television.

Her work experience includes the BBC World Service, CNN International and O, The Oprah Magazine. She was a producer & presenter for SAfm (SABC Radio) and worked for Tswelopele Productions on their magazine show Top Billing as a guest presenter, producer and writer.

Talia is passionate about the power of broadcasting, media and television and its ability to influence ideas, drive discussion and inspire change.
